It was a picture-perfect Homecoming weekend at Defiance College with field house groundbreaking ceremonies, fireworks, alumni recognition, reunions, athletic contests, and plenty of family activities. Margaret Rinkel Bohn, 100-year-old alumna, started things off with her fireworks countdown at Thursday night’s pep rally. A great crowd turned out for Friday afternoon’s groundbreaking ceremonies for the much-anticipated 80,000-plus square foot field house and athletic center which was followed by the annual Celebrate DC dinner. Saturday’s events welcomed back alumni from all eras for the annual Hall of Fame induction, Webster Street festival, and reunions.
