Professor Emeritus Randy Buchman is a contributing author in a newly-released set of volumes entitled Encyclopedia of American Indian Removal, published by Greenwood Press. Buchman was asked to author articles on the removal of the Shawnee from their tribal lands, and on James Gardiner, one of the early settlers of Greene County, Ohio, who served as the special agent and commissioner negotiating the Shawnee removal from Ohio. Buchman (far left) presented a volume set to Barb Sedlock, assistant librarian, and Andrew Whitis, director of library and informational resources, to be placed in the Pilgrim Library collection.
