DEFIANCE, Ohio – Local veterans are encouraged to attend “Stand Down,” an event to connect area armed forces veterans to benefits and resources. The event will be held Thursday, March 24, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the UAW Hall 211, Baltimore Road.
Representatives will be on hand from the VA, local agencies and community organizations to provide information and to assist veterans with questions and concerns.
The event is sponsored by the UAW 211, Defiance College, Defiance County Veterans Affairs office, AmeriCorps VISTA, and area veterans organizations.
Refreshments will be served included a free lunch, and there will be entertainment.
