Why the BSN?
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing was developed by public and private colleges in response to a community-identified need for baccalaureate-prepared nurses. It offers expanded career options for persons in the nursing field by combining technical aspects of nursing with leadership skills necessary to lead in today’s dynamic healthcare environment. Students will develop critical thinking and decision making skills to function effectively in interpersonal and group settings. Graduates will be prepared to understand and respond to changing healthcare needs of individuals and communities.
