DEFIANCE, Ohio – You won’t want to miss the Defiance College Community Band’s final concert of the 2013-14 season. The event will be presented on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Defiance Community Auditorium, downtown Defiance.
This organization has thrilled audiences with rousing performances this season and the final concert of the season will be no exception.
Themed “Landscapes,” the DCCB will take a journey through various musical and geographical landscapes under the leadership of Bridget Leahy, director of bands, and co-conductors Cathy Booth and Scott Rogers. Titles include “Variations on a Korean Folksong” and “Russian Sailor’s Dance,” taking songs and dances from across the globe for a worldly concert experience.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance. A free-will offering will be taken at the end of the performance.
