Duo Favorito recital at Defiance College March 16

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Duo Favorito will perform in Schomburg Auditorium on the Defiance College campus at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16.

Duo Favorito is a violin and bassoon duo comprised of Andrew and Lydia Favorito. The couple is currently based out of Los Angeles, Calif., but has roots in Northwest Ohio.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University from Paulding, Ohio, Andrew has performed with various orchestras including Adrian, Mich.; Dearborn, Mich.; Perrysburg, Ohio; Santa Monica, Calif.; Peninsula, Calif.; and others. Currently, he is completing his graduate degree at the University of Southern California.

Lydia is also a graduate of Bowling Green State University (M.M.) and received her Bachelor’s degree from Chapman University. She is an active performer and educator, having performed with symphonies including Lima, Ohio; Perrysburg, Ohio; Southern Great Lakes, Mich.; Dearborn, Mich.; and Detroit, Mich.; among others.

Doors for the performance will open at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, and sponsored by the Defiance College Music Programs.
