Mission
The office of institutional advancement develops relationships with the College's many constituents – alumni, friends, corporations and foundation - so new and increased sources of revenue are secured to support the College and to enhance the overall quality of its educational program for future generations of students who choose to attend Defiance College.
To accomplish this goal, institutional advancement is comprised of three offices:
- Office of Alumni Relations: The alumni office develops programs encouraging alumni to become involved with programs assisting the College and its students, e.g., identifying and recruiting new students, hosting alumni gatherings in their area, helping DC students find internship opportunities or graduates find full time employment, etc.
- Office of Communications: Communications is responsible for all publications, advertising and communications in the newspaper, on radio or television and on the web to educate and to inform people about the educational mission, programs and work of Defiance College.
- Office of Development: Development maintains contact with DC alumni and friends as well as corporations and foundations that appreciate the College's educational program and want to make charitable gifts and grants to assist Defiance College.
For more information about the Office of Institutional Advancement or ways to assist Defiance College financially or as a volunteer, please contact a member of the Advancement staff.
