Students graduating from the Natural Science and Mathematics Division at Defiance College have great success starting professional careers or going on to graduate school.
"The reason the adjustment from undergrad to graduate student was so easy for me, was because of the breadth of experiences I had at Defiance College, namely within the chemistry lab. The various instruments and techniques taught at Defiance College allowed me to compete academically with students, national and international, with very strong and extensive chemical backgrounds from some the finest institutions in the world."
-- Todd Osborn, Graduate 2001
Students coming to Defiance College bring with them a great many different interests that are reflected in the diversity of where they go upon graduation. Graduates in Forensics have taken positions in local and state crime labs. Students from other majors ranging from education and environmental science to mathematics are finding many opportunities in their chosen profession. Those interested in medicine have gone on to the Medical College of Ohio for their M.D.'s or Ohio State University, Ferris State and Indiana University for dentistry and optometry. Medical Technology majors are finding placement in area hospitals for clinical studies. Many other students have gone on to graduate school in a variety of fields including environmental science, biology and chemistry.
Regardless of your long-term goals, whether they include graduate school or starting that first job, the Natural Science and Mathematics Division will be able to help you.
