Current Students - Access Your Information

Lifecycle of the Registration Process for Current Students

January - February

1. Complete the FAFSA Renewal or complete FAFSA application by March 1 (DC's Title IV code 003041)
   
2. Reapply for any outside scholarships
   
3. Make monthly DC Payment Plan payments, if applicable
   
4. Receive HOPE and Lifetime Learning Tax Credit 1098-T form
   

March - April

1. Schedule classes for the next academic year
   
2. Complete room and meal plan contracts
   
3. Make monthly DC Payment Plan payments, if applicable
   
4. Schedule for summer courses, if applicable
   
5. Receive and pay for summer course tuition, if applicable
   
6. Verify room and meal plan accuracy

May- June

1. Obtain spring grades online at www.defiance.edu/onestop
   
2. Submit $150 Deposit
   
3. Receive loan approval from guarantee agency (e.g. Loan Disclosure)
   

July - August

1. July 1 is the deadline to adjust a room and/or meal plan change
   
2. Submit financial aid verification documents, if applicable
   
3. Submit Stafford Loan Request Application(s)
   
4. Receive and submit signed fall bill with appropriate payment by August 1
   
5. Receive validation sticker; place on ID card
   
6. Receive DC Payment Plan coupons, if applicable
   

September - October

1. Make monthly DC Payment Plan payments, if applicable
   
2. Make any necessary adjustments to your spring schedule
   
3. Refund checks available by Friday of the second week of courses
   
4. Sign Perkins loan promissory note, if applicable
   

November - December

1. Make monthly DC Payment Plan payments, if applicable
   
2. Receive and submit signed fall bill with appropriate payment
   
3. Receive validation sticker; place on ID card
   
4. Receive DC Payment Plan coupons, if applicable
   
5. Obtain fall grades online at www.defiance.edu/onestop
   
6. Apply for graduation, if applicable
