Building the Fraternity and Sorority Community utilizing continuous improvement that provides a complete quality undergraduate fraternity and sorority experience that builds community among all Greeks and that emphasizes our founding principles of:
- Scholarship
- Service
- Leadership
- Brotherhood/Sisterhood
Membership
The Greek Community at Defiance College includes one fraternity and two sororities. All full-time students with a minimum 2.2 GPA are eligible for membership at Defiance College. Potential new members are selected each semester by each individual chapter. Greek chapters at Defiance College include:

Inter-Greek Council (IGC)
Each chapter is required to have membership in IGC, the governing body of the Greek Community at Defiance College. The basic purpose of IGC can be defined as:
- To promote the interests and ideals of Greek Life at Defiance College
- To insure cooperation among the members of Greek organizations
- To act as a communication link between the Greek organizations, Defiance College Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Students.
- To coordinate rush rules, new member period, and other activities throughout the year.
- To encourage prospective new members to explore all Greek organizations and the Greek system as a whole.
Each chapter President, along with another appointed representative from each chapter, meets weekly with the Director of Student Activities, who is the advisor to IGC.
