Business Administration is a professional study requiring comprehensive coverage of all functional areas of the business environment without sacrificing an awareness of the arts, sciences, and humanities.
Defiance College’s business programs are recognized by employers as being both theoretically sound and practical. The business administration major is designed for those students who desire a strong professional program in business that prepares them for a position in either the profit or nonprofit business sector. The major covers all functional areas of business with advanced courses in management, marketing and economics. The major requires 66 total hours.
There are two majors in the business administration division from which to choose: accounting, business administration, or business administration with a concentration in marketing. A minor is also available in economics.
To effectively prepare you for the business world, courses in our Business Core cover both majors. On-the-job training is provided through internships and cooperative education opportunities. Completion programs for those holding an associate degree are available in Health Services Management and Organizational Supervision and Leadership.

Students majoring in one of the business areas are not eligible to earn a minor in business.
