The Fast Track program is designed for the working adult who wants to complete a bachelor's degree. If you already have an associate degree in a technical field and are looking to advance your career, Defiance's program in Organizational Supervision and Leadership may be just the right fit.

The major combines courses in management, accounting, and other business areas in a broad academic background. Students will learn communication and problem-solving skills to prepare them for challenging leadership roles across many careers.

You can complete your major courses by attending one night per week and your bachelor's degree in as few as 21 months. Adults benefit from networking and bonding with colleagues in the classes over the period they are together and have the opportunity to focus on issues from a practical as well as a theoretical point of view.

Students are required to take 18 credit hours or 50 percent of major courses from Defiance College. If students transfer more than 18 credit hours of major courses to this program, they must take other courses from the business curriculum to make up their residency requirement. The grade point average from the associate degree program must be at least 2.5 to pursue the fast-track program.

Students will graduate from Defiance College with at least 120 credit hours. Up to 72 credits will transfer from the associate degree. The Organizational Supervision and Leadership major is 36 hours; and the remaining 24 hours of credit are general education courses or electives. The general education courses and electives are also available through Defiance's Weekend College program.

The credit-hour requirement includes:
60 hours transfer from associate degree program
36 hours Organizational Supervision and Leadership Program
24 hours in general education or elective credits
