How does financial aid work for this program?
Students are eligible to apply for financial aid for the summer term. Students must file a 2025-26 FAFSA, submit all required documents, and request summer aid by emailing financialaid@defiance.edu. Students that use Federal Direct Loans in the summer term will have a reduced amount available for fall and spring. Charges and financial aid are frozen after the May 22nd add/drop deadline. Refunds for a dropped class will not be given unless the student withdraws from ALL summer courses, at which point the college will follow the withdrawal policy stated in the course catalog.

What if I don't want/need summer housing?
Summer housing is in Jacket Suites with a roommate. If a student prefers to live off campus, there is no reduction in the cost of this summer program.
