Office of Veteran, Transfer, and Adult Student Support
The purpose of the Office of Veteran, Transfer, and Adult (VTA) Student Support is
to advocate for the unique concerns of undergraduate students from these diverse populations
and provide assistance that connects the students to important campus resources.
VTA STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Success Coaching
The VTA Student Support office will provide one-on- one assistance for a student to
identify his or her strengths and needs as the student takes on the additional responsibility
of college. As a success coach, we are here to help students to build an efficient
and flexible set of study, time management, and problem-solving skills for their new
college environment. We work personally with students, assess their strengths and
needs, and devise an individual plan of action.
Veterans Resource Center
We appreciate the service and sacrifice our U.S. military veterans have made for all
of us. The Veterans Resource Center is available for military veterans to use while
they are enrolled in classes at Defiance College. It is located in Defiance Hall 105B
and is equipped with computers, a printer, and other resources. See a list of more resources for Veterans at Defiance College.
Student Veterans of America
A student organization on campus to support and guide veterans, current military members, dependents, and advocates (VMDA) throughout
their academic careers.
Evening and Weekends
Evening and weekend appointments with the VTA Support Coordinator can be scheduled
