Dr. Carolyn Walters '69
Carolyn graduated from DC in 1969 with a B.S. in Biology. During her years at DC, she was involved with the Foreign Language Club, Gamma Omega Kappa sorority, and the Inter Greek Council. Dr. Walter's favorite memory about her time at DC was working in Tenzer Hall and in the Greenhouse with Dr. Mikula and Dr. Frey. She also loved her Gamma sisters. Carolyn is now retired, but she was an Adjunct Professor for many years at DC. She received the Silver Pilgrim Medal from Defiance College in 2019. Dr. Walters obtained her Master of Science (1971) and Ph.D. (1975) from The Ohio State University.
She says alumni/ae should stay connected with the College because "A strong alumni base helps to promote awareness of the college programs, recruit students, and attract donors."
