DC Players to perform ‘Almost, Maine’ Feb. 21-23

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College’s DC Players will present “Almost, Maine” on Feb. 21-23 in Schomburg
Auditorium beginning at 8 p.m. nightly.
“Almost, Maine” is a romantic comedy that takes place on a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter. The residents find themselves falling in and out of love, in unexpected and often hilarious ways.
This production is performed by DC students: Phillip Balla, Rossford; Kelsea Burns, Antwerp; Luke Nicely, Ney; Alison Rifenburgh, Bronson, Mich.; George Roth, Ayersville; Emily Wallace, Delphos; and stage managed by Beth Pieonski, Sheffield Lake.
The production is presented under the direction of Danae Jimenez in her first year with the DC Players. Jimenez is a Defiance native and graduated from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Ind., with a bachelor’s degree in theatre and communications.
Admission is $5, and tickets will be available at the door. The event is free to DC students, faculty and staff with valid campus ID.
