November 22, 2013
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The music of the season will be featured as the Defiance College
Community Band presents the ninth Annual Holiday Pops Concert. The concert will be
held Tuesday, Dec. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Defiance Community Auditorium, downtown
Defiance.
Kids of all ages will enjoy many traditional Christmas selections that include vocal
soloists Randy Schroeder and Kirsten Coffman, dancers from the Defiance Dance Studio,
an audience sing-a-long, and many other holiday surprises.
"We are excited to perform the holiday favorites for our community," said Defiance
College Director of Bands Bridget Leahy. "This is a great show for children, and parents
should bring cameras! We have a special guest joining us all the way from the North
Pole with gifts for all the children."
To better serve the children, there will be an early 7 p.m. curtain. The event is
free and open to the public.
