Defiance College Community Band to perform annual holiday concert

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The music of the season will be featured as the Defiance College Community Band presents its eighth Annual Holiday Pops Concert. The concert will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Defiance Community Auditorium, downtown Defiance.

Kids of all ages will enjoy many traditional Christmas selections that include the DC Sisters, prelude music from the low brass section, and music from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and the hit movie “Frozen.”

“We are excited to perform some of our holiday favorites for our community,” said Defiance College Director of Bands Bridget Olenik. “This is a great show for children, and parents should bring their cameras! We have a special guest joining us all the way from the North Pole with gifts for all the children.”

To better serve the children, there will be an early 7 p.m. curtain. The event is free and open to the public.
