Defiance College to conduct detectives camp for youth June 25-28
May 12, 2015
DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College invites students entering grades 10-12 to participate in a four-day, overnight detective camp by DC’s Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Digital Forensic Science programs on June 25-28, 2015.
The Detectives of Defiance: Got Clue? camp will introduce students to crime scene investigations and forensics through an interactive criminal mystery. Students will learn how to search for and collect physical evidence such as fingerprints, shoeprints, and DNA; collect and analyze digital evidence from computers and cell phones; photograph and document a crime scene, interview suspects, and put it all together to solve the crime. This unique learning experience will show young detectives what really happens “behind the scenes” of popular television shows.
The four-day camp includes supplies, six meals, snacks and three nights lodging in a campus residence hall for $250 ($300 after June 2).
To register or learn more about the detective summer camp, visit the Defiance College website at http://www.defiance.edu/gotclue/ or contact Alyson Laframboise at alaframboise@defiance.edu or (419) 783-2494. Camp size is limited.
