Spring concert to be performed by DC Community Band

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Community Band will present their annual spring concert and season finale on Tuesday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held at the Defiance Community Auditorium.
Celebrating spring is the concert theme, with memorable Beatles tunes such as “Norwegian Wood” and “Penny Lane,” among other favorites. American folk songs will be featured in the “Red, White, and Brass” medley, as well as Americana tunes “God’s Country” and “Proud Heritage.”
The concert will end with an exciting medley of the Star Wars theme for the fans anxiously awaiting the next movie. Other tunes on this concert include the classic R. Vaughan Williams tune “English Folk Song Suite,” the Karl King march “The Flying Squadron,” and “Polly Oliver,” which is a band favorite.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance. Admission is free and open to the public. Freewill donations will be accepted.
