Defiance College, YWCA collaborate on early childhood professional development day

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College and the YWCA of Northwest Ohio are collaborating to offer an Early Childhood Professional Development Day on Monday, May 7, on the DC campus.
The sessions are designed for teachers, paraprofessionals, and college students. Sessions are free and participants can acquire up to six hours of Ohio Approved hours.
Sessions will include:
- 9 a.m. to 12 noon – Early Learning and Development Standards Level 1, a three-hour overview of ELDS
- 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM), An Integrated Approach to Learning
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. – Preschool 101, Effective Behavior Management
- 1 to 3:30 p.m. – Exploring STEAM-Related Outdoor Preschool Experiences
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Serrick Campus Center.
