Defiance College SVA Spreads Holiday Cheer

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College Chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA)
recently raised over $3,000 toward their Thanksgiving Care Package fundraiser. Thanks to
the generosity of AMVETS Post 1991 and the Defiance College Community, DC’s SVA was
able to provide 15 Thanksgiving Dinner care packages to area Veterans and Veterans’
families.

Each dinner care package included turkey, various sides, and gift cards, and were
delivered to families on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Because the fundraiser was so
successful, DC’s SVA is hoping to use any remaining funds to purchase food vouchers for
Christmas meals.
