Student Veterans of America (SVA)
Mission
The purpose of Student Veterans of America (SVA) at Defiance College is to support and guide veterans, current military members, dependents, and advocates (VMDA) throughout their academic careers.
Membership
Membership in SVA is open to any student currently enrolled at Defiance College in good standing within their respective graduate or under-graduate program.
Associated members who are non-DC students or do not meet the above criteria will be allowed; however, by Defiance College policy, no more than 20 percent of the membership shall be individuals who are not DC students. Associated members shall have all membership privileges except for the right to vote or hold office.
Meetings
SVA will meet the first Tuesday every month in the Veterans Resource Center*, Defiance Hall 105B.
*Note: The Veterans Resource Center is for veteran and active duty military member use only, but anyone is welcome to stop by to get involved or to reach a veteran or Jack Lawson.
