DC Students Dance for Mercy Children’s Hospital

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College and Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation will sponsor Dance Marathon on Nov. 9 from 5 p.m. – 1 a.m. at the Weaner Community Center, McMaster gymnasium. Dance Marathon is a fun filled night where students raise money and awareness for Toledo’s Mercy Children’s Hospital and their efforts to combat pediatric cancer.

Students stand on their feet for eight hours in honor of the hospital staff that stands on their feet all night taking care of the sick. Families and children from Mercy Children’s Hospital will be present during the event to share their story and what Dance Marathon means to them.

This event is open to the public. The cost is $10 to pre-register and receive a t-shirt, or $5 at the door. All donations and proceeds go directly to the Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation. For more information contact Tasha Brown at abrown004@defiance.edu .

Refreshments will be available, courtesy of local restaurants, along with inflatables, music, and other games and activities. The event will run for eight hours but anyone is welcome to come and dance throughout the evening.

The Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation is a charitable, tax-exempt public foundation founded in 1999 for the purpose of supporting the vision and goals of Mercy Children’s Hospital.
