Join us for Welcome Week. Each day is packed with events and activities that allow you to laugh, learn, and connect with others. Please note that ALL events are required for first-year students regardless of commuter/residence status and sport affiliation, unless otherwise noted.

Leave the heavy lifting to us. Move-in crew members will be available throughout the
day to help transfer all your gear into your residence hall room.

Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE)

We’ll be having talk-back sessions about Sexual Assault Prevention and give you the
opportunity to ask questions, learn about campus procedure, and know your right and
responsibility as a student and citizen.

Students will participate in activities designed to teach students about the multicultural
environment of a college campus. Students will work together to gain perspective and
understanding about the experiences of students who are different from themselves.

Hypnotist, Sailesh (Student Activities/CAB Event)
Schomburg Auditorium
An experienced performer of more than 15 years, Sailesh the Hypnotist has performed at a staggering 400+ colleges and universities. He is the most sought after hypnotist and variety performer. Dubbed “the World’s Best Hypnotist,” his live show has been described as a cross between a concert and the best party ever. Sailesh makes audience members the stars of the show, taking the entire audience on a journey using hypnosis, improv, music, and interactivity to create a whole lot of laughter and fun.

Bubble Ball Soccer
Residence Hall Quad
Bubble Ball Soccer has become a full-fledged sport in Europe and is now growing rapidly in popularity in the US. This is the only sport where ANYONE can take a tumble and have fun doing so. Soccer balls, goals, bubble balls, and a referee are all provided.
